Event Details

Tactics for Dealing with Difficult People:

This class equips participants with essential skills to safely and effectively manage tense or potentially volatile situations by focusing on key areas such as situational awareness, understanding how the brain responds to stress and crisis, and implementing proven techniques for engaging with individuals in distress.  The course emphasizes the critical role of both verbal and non-verbal communication, teaching participants how tone, body language, and word choice can either escalate or defuse a situation.  Participants will learn to stay calm, assess their environment, and apply clear action plans that prioritize safety and resolution.

Personal Safety:

This course teaches essential personal-safety skills, including how to maintain situational awareness, avoid appearing like a target, recognize common ambush points, understand different types of crimes and predator behaviors, and respond effectively if attacked. Students learn practical strategies to stay alert, reduce risk through confident behavior and smart navigation, and use legal personal-safety tools responsibly.
