Let’s keep our neighbors warm this winter!

Thursday, January 1, 2026 to Saturday, February 28, 2026

Event Details

We’re collecting new and gently used coats, jackets, and warm clothing to support Helping Hands Resources — a local nonprofit providing clothing and essentials to community members in need.

Here’s how your community can get involved:

  • Host a Collection Bin: Place a drop-off station in your leasing office or clubhouse to gather donations from residents, staff, and vendors.

  • Promote the Drive: Share the drive details in newsletters, emails, bulletin boards, and mail centers. (See attached flyers and email templates.)

  • Post on Social Media: Help spread the word online! Use the sample caption and image included.

Subject: Help Keep Our Community Warm — Coat & Clothes Drive Jan. 1 – Feb. 10!

Dear [Apartment Community] Residents,

Winter is here, and many in our community need warm clothing and coats to stay comfortable during the colder months. That’s why we’re excited to launch the Mid-Willamette Valley Coat & Clothes Drive supporting Helping Hands Resources from January 1 through February 10.

Helping Hands is a Salem-based nonprofit that provides clothing, bedding, toys, and other essentials to people in need — all at no charge. Your donations go directly into the hands of individuals and families who rely on these resources every day. Helping Hands Resources

What to Donate:
• Winter coats & jackets
• Sweaters, hoodies & layers
• Warm pants, jeans & waterproof footwear
• Hats, gloves, scarves & socks
• Blankets or extra warm gear

Where to Donate:
Drop off your items at the leasing office during regular business hours.

Whether you donate one cozy layer or a bag full of winter gear, your contribution will help keep someone warm this winter. Thank you for supporting our community and Helping Hands!

Warmly,
The [Apartment Community] Team
