TOPIC: Application of Payment & Waiver Issues in Tenancies

The handling of rent payments and the potential for waivers in multifamily housing can raise complex legal challenges. This webinar will provide housing providers with clear guidance on how to apply payments correctly, avoid unintentionally waiving rights, and remain compliant with landlord-tenant law. Topics will include:

  • Legal standards for applying partial or late payments
  • Common mistakes that can create unintended waivers
  • Best practices for documenting payment agreements and communications
  • Strategies to protect your property’s rights while maintaining fairness for residents

Designed for property managers, leasing staff, compliance professionals, and owners, this session will help you navigate payment application and waiver issues with confidence, reduce risk, and strengthen your operational practices.
