It’s The Law - Avoiding Waiver and Application of Payments Pitfalls
Understanding how waiver and payment application issues arise is critical to protecting your rights and avoiding costly mistakes. This class explores common legal pitfalls related to waiver, acceptance of payments, and how landlord actions can unintentionally affect enforcement options. Participants will learn how payment handling, communication, and procedural missteps may impact notices, lease enforcement, and eviction actions. Designed for housing professionals, this session provides practical guidance to help reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and support more consistent decision-making.
