Event Details

Every 2nd Friday of the month Multifamily NW welcomes landlord/tenant law attorney Jeffrey S. Bennett to present a timely topic around property management.

In the multifamily housing industry, not every lease ends with a smooth handoff of keys and a perfectly vacated unit. This insightful webinar will explore the common end-of-tenancy scenarios where things don’t go quite as planned. From tenant abandonments to unresolved balances, we’ll walk through the steps housing providers can take to protect their property and stay in compliance.

Topics will include how to properly handle unit abandonments, best practices for final accountings, and strategies for effective collections. Whether you're a seasoned property manager or new to the field, this session will provide practical tools and guidance for dealing with the messy side of move-outs.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Legal and procedural steps for identifying and managing tenant abandonments

  • How to create thorough and accurate final accountings

  • Options and best practices for pursuing collections while maintaining compliance

Who Should Attend:
Property managers, leasing agents, regional managers, and anyone involved in the day-to-day operations of multifamily housing.
