Matt Brubaker

Matt started his career in the paint and construction industry in 2006 working on mostly commercial and government paint projects in Oregon and Washington. He learned the business from the ground up learning how to estimate and project manage. In 2016, Matt helped start a new paint contracting company in the Portland market focusing on Cap-X apartment and commercial repaint projects and some new commercial construction. After 6 years, in January of 2022 Matt made the decision to start Cobalt Painting with his wife, Jamie, focusing on Cap-X apartment and commercial repaint projects along with residential interior and exterior projects.
Matt grew up in the Hillsboro area and currently resides in Portland. Jamie and Matt got married in November of 2024 and have a combined family with 5 children. With 3 of them in college and 2 working their way to graduating college, life is busy. In his free time, Matt enjoys golfing, watching baseball (all levels and especially the Dodgers), cheering on the Timbers, fishing, camping, and cooking.
