#MFNWCares Spotlight for Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH)

Today our #MFNWCares spotlight is on Community Partners for Affordable Housing, Inc. (CPAH)

CPAH creates and maintains safe, healthy, and sustainable housing with services for diverse residents including families, seniors, and people with disabilities in Washington County and SW Portland. They are working hard right now to assist their residents around the needs that they have identified – food security, rent assistance and for seniors and some others, isolation. We are also putting together a program for our kids this summer that relies on dropping off supplies and instructions for activities to households. CPAH works to support their resident services staff through fundraising, so any contributions would assist them with this important work. They anticipate that future resources for services must decrease as CPAH, along with other landlords, address the financial issues at properties that come as our residents struggle with rent.

With the COVID-19 pandemic closing offices and cancelling events, it brings new challenges to Oregon's critical nonprofit services infrastructure. As Multifamily NW's annual charity events have been forced to pivot from tradition this year, we wanted to highlight, make some noise and raise donations for our charity partners! Beginning Monday, May 18th, all week we're showcasing a different partner charity! #MFNWCares
