If you are a current CAMT Student, this class is required and you will be registered automatically. Attendance is mandatory for all CAMT Designees.

Appliance Maintenance & Repair

Duration: 8–10 hours of classroom training

Format: Usually taught over two full‑day sessions
(Full‑day sessions include scheduled breaks and a lunch period.)

The Appliance Maintenance & Repair course gives participants the practical, hands‑on skills they need to keep everyday appliances operating safely and efficiently. Throughout this engaging class, learners explore how common appliances work, what typically goes wrong, and the best methods for diagnosing issues and performing effective repairs.

Participants learn how to identify early warning signs, decide when components should be repaired or replaced, and use essential tools with confidence. From refrigerators and ranges to washers, dryers, and more, this course breaks down each appliance in an easy‑to‑understand way with demonstrations and real‑world examples.

By the end of the training, learners leave feeling well‑equipped to handle routine appliance problems and support reliable, resident‑ready living spaces.

Aaron Rowe is a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) with over 14 years of experience leading maintenance operations in multifamily and senior living communities. As the Service Manager at Neighborly Communities – The Grove Apartments, he oversees large‑scale property operations, preventative maintenance programs, team leadership, and safety compliance for a 363‑unit community.

He has trained new hires across multiple properties and states, chaired safety committees, supported corporate onboarding, and contributed to company‑wide policy and procedure development. His background also includes extensive experience in fire‑life safety, emergency preparedness, and vendor and contractor management.

Driven by a passion for mentorship and continuous improvement, Aaron is dedicated to developing skilled maintenance professionals and fostering safe, efficient, resident‑focused environments.
