At this time, this class cannot be taken individually; it is only available to CAMT students as part of the full six‑module course.  If you are a current CAMT Student, this class is required and you will be registered automatically. Attendance is mandatory for all CAMT Designees.

Heating Maintenance & Repair

Duration: 6–8 hours of classroom training
Format: Format: Usually taught over one full‑day session
(Full‑day sessions include two 15‑minute breaks and a one‑hour lunch. Half‑day sessions include at least one 5‑minute break.)

The Heating Maintenance & Repair course is designed to help participants feel confident working with heating systems of all kinds. Whether you're new to maintenance or looking to strengthen your skills, this class breaks down the essentials in a clear, easy‑to‑understand way.

Throughout the training, participants learn how heating systems operate, how to spot common issues, and how to safely perform repairs and routine maintenance. The course blends practical instruction with real‑world examples, giving learners hands‑on experience they can put to use right away.

Ryan Ridgeway started in the apartment industry in 1998 as a porter/groundskeeper. He currently serves as the Director of Maintenance at GSL. His goal is to provide the highest level of service in the maintenance field that’s achievable in the industry. Ryan has the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician credential and teaches plumbing, electrical and other maintenance classes. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and his specialties include: EPA, CPO, crime free, 5 star certification and natural gas certification.
