Event Details

At this time, this class cannot be taken individually; it is only available to CAMT students as part of the full six‑module course. If you are a current CAMT Student, this class is required and you will be registered automatically. Attendance is mandatory for all CAMT Designees.

Interior & Exterior Maintenance & Repair

Duration: 4–6 hours of classroom training
Format: Usually taught over one full‑day session
(Full‑day sessions include two 15‑minute breaks and a one‑hour lunch. Half‑day sessions include at least one 5‑minute break.)

The Interior & Exterior Maintenance & Repair course gives participants the practical knowledge they need to keep buildings in great condition—inside and out. This class covers essential repair skills, preventive maintenance strategies, and the everyday tasks that help communities look their best and operate smoothly.

Learners will explore common interior and exterior issues, how to spot early warning signs, and what tools and techniques to use when repairs are needed. The course also includes “make‑ready” practices to help staff prepare units efficiently and effectively. With helpful checklists and hands‑on examples, participants leave feeling confident and ready to apply what they’ve learned on the job.

James Eubanks is a Regional Maintenance Manager for Oregon and Southwest Washington with Greystar, bringing 16 years of hands‑on and leadership experience in property maintenance, operations, and team development. With certifications in CAMT, CPO and EPA, James is committed to driving operational excellence, ensuring code compliance, and elevating maintenance standards across his portfolio.

James joined Greystar in 2015 as a Service Supervisor, steadily advancing through roles that deepened his expertise and showcased his leadership. After serving as a Service Supervisor at garden style, mid-rise, high-rise and lease-up communities James took a Senior Service Supervisor position overseeing three properties before stepping into the Regional Maintenance Manager role in 2022, where he now oversees maintenance operations, supports on‑site teams, and implements strategies that improve efficiency and asset performance.

James is based in Portland, Oregon, and continues to focus on developing high‑performing maintenance teams while upholding the highest standards of compliance and excellence in the multifamily industry.
