Gavin Shearer, CAMT, Manager, Construction Services – Renovations, Greystar Residential

Gavin Shearer spent eleven years in the plumbing industry before joining Greystar’s multifamily management team with his wife in May 2011. He began his career in the industry as a site technician and quickly discovered his passion for the work. By January 2012, he advanced to assistant supervisor, followed by promotions to supervisor in July 2012 and senior supervisor in April 2013.

He went on to serve as a senior manager for several years before being promoted to Regional Maintenance Manager in July 2016. He remained in that position until July 2022, when he transitioned to Greystar’s capital projects group as a Construction Manager, supporting renovation and capital improvement efforts.

Throughout his career in apartment management, Gavin has found the work deeply rewarding—whether through building strong industry connections, leading training initiatives, or continually expanding his technical and leadership expertise.
