Family medical leave, workers’ compensation, military, and other leaves have a significant impact on an organization’s productivity and morale. An employer must be able to recognize when an employee in entitled to a leave and effectively manage an employee on a leave of absence. Ineffective management of leaves can result in excessive absenteeism, missed entitled protective leave, and increased abuse. Attendees will learn the legal protections afforded to employees under various federal and state laws and how to best manage employee leaves of absence.
