AND
Miley Stanton-Flowers, is the Owner and Downsize Coach at Harmonious Living at Every Age. Miley started her career in social services in 1997. Through her role as an Eviction Prevention Specialist in senior housing, Miley encountered people at risk of eviction for failing annual inspections because they had too much stuff. In 2013, she discovered that Multnomah County was forming a Hoarding Task Force and decided to join to gain a better understanding of hoarding behaviors and resources available to those who struggle with hoarding. With better knowledge of best practices for hoarding intervention, Miley has assisted many individuals with avoiding eviction and, more importantly, having a safe and healthy home.
In 2023, Miley started her business as a Downsizing Coach, assisting and coaching individuals in their homes with developing skills and overcoming barriers in their decluttering journeys. She also co-chairs the Education Committee for the Hoarding Task Force, providing trainings nationwide for housing and social service providers, family members, and a number of other organizations and individuals on the best practices and approaches to help those who struggle with too much stuff.
