Every month HR Answers provides programming written specifically for Multifamily NW members. This month's webinar will focus on the Civil Conversations, guided by Deborah Jeffries.

Rudeness, disrespect, and workplace tension are becoming all too common—and no workplace is immune. Whether it's unreturned messages, interrupted meetings, or subtle dismissals, these behaviors chip away at morale, teamwork, and trust. According to the Society for Human Resource Management, two out of three workers have witnessed or experienced incivility in just the past month. But we can do better—and it starts with building a culture where respect is modeled, expected, and supported.

This practical and interactive session is designed to explore how to strengthen communication, foster accountability, and handle everyday interactions with professionalism and care. Whether you're in the field or in the office, civility is a critical tool for teamwork and effectiveness.

You’ll learn how to:

· Spot signs of incivility before they escalate into conflict.

· Evaluate language and actions using simple, proven tools.

· Improve communication through empathy, active listening, and the “Yes, and…” method.

· Build trust and collaboration by setting and modeling standards of respectful behavior.

A respectful workplace isn’t just “nice to have”—it’s essential for safety, teamwork, and community service. You’ll leave this session with tools and ideas you can take away and use right away.
