Webinar: HR Answers - Internal Investigations
Multifamily NW Welcomes: Jennifer Schoorl, HR Answers (041)
Zoom Meeting
Event Details
Every month HR Answers provides programming written specifically for Multifamily NW members. This month's webinar will focus on the Handbook Essentials, guided by Jennifer Schoorl.
We will cover the essentials of conducting an internal investigation, including best business practices and the necessary steps for a thorough investigation. Additionally, we will discuss effective communication with involved employees and maintaining confidentiality throughout the process.
Despite an organization's best efforts to manage employee relations and enforce policies, issues and reports will inevitably arise. These may range from unknown causes of an accident, concerns about sexual harassment or retaliation, allegations of illegal substance use by employees, to claims of favoritism by a supervisor. Each of these situations requires a sensitive and comprehensive HR investigation.
Learning Objectives:
· Understand the initial steps in managing employee reports and addressing them promptly.
· Learn proper documentation techniques and effective communication strategies.
· Identify who to interview and how to approach the process.
· Understand how to follow up and communicate investigation outcomes professionally.
Looking forward to a great conversation! Hope to see you there!
