On July 11, 2022 the Eugene city council passed Phase I of an ordinance that drastically changes standard application protocol for the rental housing industry. the ordinance caps screening fee at $10, mandates additional written disclosures, directs specific photo documentation for tenancies, requires housing providers to supply rental references and increases Eugene's per-door rental registration fee to fund additional services.
