Founded in 2006: Addressing Industry Needs
FINNMARK Property Services began in 2006, founded by the Kurkinen brothers to fill a gap in the
multifamily industry. Their mission was clear: deliver comprehensive preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of properties and the comfort of residents. From the start, FINNMARK became a trusted partner for property owners and managers.

Expanding with Client Trust: Construction Services
As client demand grew, FINNMARK evolved beyond routine maintenance to tackle complex repairs and
renovations. This led to the creation of a dedicated Construction Department, offering services from minor fixes to large-scale capital improvements, solidifying FINNMARK’s reputation for versatility and reliability.

New Era in 2023: Restoration Services
In 2023, Clint and Katrin Arp joined FINNMARK, bringing expertise and ambition. Their leadership
launched a Restoration Services division, specializing in water mitigation, fire damage repair, and
emergency response. With Clint’s technical skills and Katrin’s focus on client relationships, FINNMARK
now meets a broader range of client needs.

Supporting the Multifamily Northwest Association (MFNW) is important for FINNMARK for several reasons that align with both our business goals and commitment to the industry. First and foremost, MFNW provides us with a valuable platform to help educate industry members on key issues in property management, maintenance, and restoration. By sharing our expertise, we can contribute to raising the standard of service within the multifamily housing sector.

Can you share a recent success story or a particular project that exemplifies your company’s
capabilities?
Absolutely. One project that truly highlights our team's responsiveness, expertise, and commitment to
client trust occurred late one evening around 10pm. A long-time client—who knows they can count on us—called with an urgent emergency: a vehicle had crashed into a building, causing significant damage.

As it turned out, the impacted building housed the offices of Multifamily Northwest, making it even more personal for us, as we value our partnerships within the industry. Our immediate priority was to respond swiftly, secure the building, and ensure the safety of everyone so their operations could continue uninterrupted the next day.

While our mitigation team went to work insulating and protecting the exposed building envelope from the winter weather, our construction team encountered a major challenge: the original glass for the storefront was no longer manufactured. Our project managers didn’t let that stop them. They worked relentlessly to custom-source the materials needed to restore the building to its pre-loss condition.
Despite the delays that come with custom fabrication, our teams kept the building warm, dry, and safe throughout the entire process. Once the final repairs were completed, the outcome exceeded expectations—and our clients were thrilled.

This project showcased not only our emergency response capabilities, but also our tenacity,
resourcefulness, and dedication to doing the job right—even when it’s hard. It’s a great example of how FINNMARK delivers peace of mind and solutions, no matter the circumstances.

Looking ahead, what exciting developments or plans are coming from your company?
We're excited to expand our window washing services by repelling from buildings as well as that we added a full gutter replacement service.

What advice would you give to someone looking to engage with Multifamily NW?
